Arthur C. Kent was a local distiller in Janesville, Wisconsin in the late 1800's. In 1872 he came up with the idea for this "seeder".     Wooden hand corn planter. "The Triumph": manufactured by Kent Corn Planter Company, Janesville, Wisconsin. Belonged to Jozef Podhrasky, great-grandfather to donor Bernice Gehlen. Jozef Podhrasky was born in Bohemia in 1831 and died in 1914. He is buried in Bear Creek Cemetery, Rich Valley Township, McLeod County. He lived on a farm near Koniska, Rich Valley Township, McLeod County. He was a carpenter by trade and built several homes.
