Wooden Twisted Branch |
Description |
Natural oddity: piece of wooden tree branch grown into a twisted knot. Possibly a grape vine. In 1922 Joe Eheim was appointed to the Hutchinson park board and in 1923 became superintendent. In 1941 he was made supervisor of the Hutchinson WPA park project. With WPA workers he rip-rapped the banks of the Crow River to prevent erosion and built the bathhouse of field stones on the beach south of the dam. Eheim Park in Hutchinson is named for donor Joe Eheim. |
