Description |
Sepia toned photograph of Will Sauter's threshing crew taking a lunch break. Two small children and a dog are also visible. The crew was working at the S.S. Beach farm c.1906 or 1907. The steam driven engine has steam up and would have been ready to go to work after the break. A wagon is in place with the straw from the threshing and a wagon is waiting to take on the cleaned grain. Some of the workers are named but not identified: Will Sauter-engineer, Grover Finney-Fireman, John Finney, Henry Finney, Guy Finney, Jim Sothers and Otto Zipf -Pitchers, Branch Compton- Baggerman, Frank Compton-Tank man, John Sauter-Separator. |
