Black and white photograph of a Hutchinson, MN 1955 Centennial-Jaycee Water Carnival Parade unit: a covered wagon pulled by a team of oxen, sponsored by Citizen's Bank of Hutchinson. The oxen are white with dark spots and have long horns. Unidentified people are in the front of the wagon. A crowd of people is on the side of the street in front of businesses New Bakery and Hutchinson Federal Savings & Loan Association. The Hutchinson Centennial was celebrated during the Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival, June 22-26, 1955. The five-day celebration featured multiple parades: 2 kiddie parades, a boat parade, antique car parade, twilight parade, and the Sunday parade with 110 floats amid 130 units. |
