Print, Photographic - Boulder for Pendergast Academy Monument
Black and white photograph of a very large boulder being moved by the W. P. A. to the area at the top of the hill, near the site of the first Pendergast Academy that was burned by Little Crow's Indians in 1862. A commemorative plaque would be placed on the boulder noting the Academy and it's fate. Note the large steel wheels on the iron frame used to transport the boulder. From photo album 1988-0055-000.
