Blue star service flag. The service flag was a symbol, hung in a front window, that the residents had a child in military service. It was designed by WWI Army Captain Robert L. Queisser, who had sons serving in WWI. This particular flag was found in a pair of hobnail boots belonging to Frank Mrkvicka, so the flag most likely belonged to his mother. Flag, Service - Service flag for Corporal Marvin G. Miller
Service flag for Corporal Marvin G. Miller. He was born August 27, 1929 and died December 31, 2000. Flag is inside a triangular wooden case with plexiglass, brass name plate. 1929 Model A Ford Sport Coupe Roadster was restored by Marvin Miller. It was donated to the Museum in 2003 by his wife Magdalen Miller. The Millers named the car "Precious". The steps taken to restore the automobile are described in manuscript 2010-0041-001.
