    Beaded Victorian pocket watch case shaped like a slipper. Clear beads on red fabric in a floral design with edging of larger beads. Ring for hanging. Belonged to the Hugh A. Burns family c. 1870s. Donor Maude Burns was the daughter of Hugh A. & Emma Pelton Burns (m. October 16, 1879).. Matching pincushion and ring case are 1988-1434-001 & -003.

  4. Dress - Child's short white cotton dress

    Child's short white cotton dress with long sleeves. Vertical tucks on front and back down to dropped waist. Scalloped eyelet lace gathered at bottom; eyelet lace ruffle at neckline and on sleeve ends. Eight button back closure. This was the first short dress made for Jay Hugh Burns by his mother.
