    Patient chair that belonged to Dr. John Benjamin, who also used it as a dentist's chair. Dated about 1860. Chair has a metal frame with black leather covering on wooden seat; has a headrest & footrest. Chair sets on metal swivel base with adjustable screw rod for raising or lowering. Small pullout board under seat. Wood frame sides have an incised decorative motif and metal parts have gilt trim design. Manufactured by McDannold.
