Description |
National Cash Register Model 711. Serial # S346470V. Used at the Winter Barber Shop, Glencoe. The Model 711 made by the National Cash Register Company, Dayton, Ohio, was used in candy stores and barber shops. Single counter register originally had a grained metal finish. It has a white marble change plate above the six compartment wooden drawer. 15 keys: No Sale and separate keys by fives from 5 cents to 40 cents and by tens from 40 cents to $1.00. Front face lifts and locks in place. Under face is a customer counter, as well as the number of sales and a dollar and cents counter. Face, drawer and one side have keyholes & can be locked. Key 6U2 (Eagle Lock Company, Terryville Conn.) in drawer fits side keyhole. Labeled with the National Cash Register Company logo on back, front, on brass plate on case under drawer, & with model and serial number on brass plate on top. Glass is present and clear on front and back. Cash drawer has a metal lock box within, steel bill roller or holder, and four coin compartments. Servicing instructions are glued to the bottom of the dollar bill compartment.
