Description |
Long white cotton dress with a high neck and elbow length sleeves. Fronts of skirt and bodice have vertical lace & eyelet inserts with eyelet waistband. Back of bodice has rows of vertical tucks. Back hook & eye closure. Belonged to "Little Bess" Hutchinson. c.1910. Elizabeth "Little Bess" Hutchinson was born September 6, 1885, daughter of Oliver Dennett Hutchinson and Nellie Drew Hutchinson. Her siblings were Fred Drew Hutchinson and Jesse Chace Hutchinson. She became a piano teacher. Elizabeth Hutchinson Fournie was the last living member of the Hutchinson Family Singers when she died May 9, 1993. |
