Three piece wedding dress ensemble: dress, hoop underskirt, & coat worn by Doris Arlene Rotzien for her January 17, 1953 wedding to Russell Nelson at Main Street Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, MN. The ivory satin strapless dress has floral net overlay on the bodice, double layer of upward gathered net on the bust areas, and double layer of gathered net over the floor length satin skirt. Side zipper and hanging loops. Wedding write-up from Hutchinson Leader, January22, 1953. The half slip underskirt has two hoops at the bottom. Hook & eye waist closure. Label: Size 12. The floor length lace coat of matching floral net has long sleeves, collar, and gathered skirt. Hook & eye closure at waist and collar. Four satin covered buttons adorn sleeve wrists. |
