Description |
Large drawing of a mustached man with a basketball. He is wearing a black cap, black tennis shoes, and a green uniform. The drawing was part of a series of figures, possibly for a Lester Prairie prom, and was done on butcher paper . Drawn by Alton "Al" Hovern, who was Superintendent of Schools in Lester Prairie in 1952-1966. He then taught art at the Glencoe Middle School from 1966-1970. He was born November 15, 1915 and died December 19, 1970 of a fatal heart attack at age 55. He had recently completed a major in art education from Mankato State College. |
