Rose Weise Baumann wedding dress |
Description |
Wedding dress of white satin Canton Crepe, waistline sash with 6.25" satin flower and hanging buds on yellow ribbon. A 4" wide border of narrow pleats is on each short sleeve and down each side of the skirt and across the sash belt. Veil of white netting that was gathered on each side and fell down the back. It is edged with shimmery thread loops and a small lace bow at the end. Small beads are on the front of the headpiece that was worn down on the forehead in a crown effect. This dress and veil were worn by Rose Weise Baumann, daughter of Paul & Augusta Weise, for her wedding to Fred Baumann on September 6, 1923. Rose Weise was born August 30, 1902.
