Description |
Wedding gown and hat worn by Carolyn Schultz at her marriage to Walter Plamann on June 29, 1948 at First Lutheran Church, Glencoe. The dress of white net has horizontal layers of gathered 5 inch ruffles ending in a long train over a satin underskirt. The bodice also has two curved layers of 3 inch ruffles and satin covered buttons on the long sleeves and back. The dress was purchased at John W. Thomas & Co., Minneapolis, and was originally worn over a hoop. The hat of blue mesh net adorned with small blue flowers is missing the veil. The museum has the Schultz-Plamann wedding photograph 2009-0109-002. |
