Description |
7.50 inch Alexander-kins doll. Hard plastic jointed body, sleep eyes with a double set of eyelashes, light brown wig hair that is stitched on the top and glued to the head, closed mouth with red lips. Wearing a wedding dress. The skirt is made of satin material; the bodice is lace with tulle attached and snapped at the back with a white satin ribbon that wraps around the dress. Underwear is satin with lace trim on the legs. Veil is made from tulle with a headband of flowers woven in and attached by gold elastic. The wedding garter is elastic with one pink flower. She is wearing white stockings and gold ballerina shoes with white satin ties. Her wrist corsage is pink and white flowers, baby's-breath and tied with a white satin ribbon. The bottom of the skirt has the tag Alexander-kins by Madame Alexander sewn into the seam. There is an ALEX marking on her upper back for identification. The Alexander Doll Company was founded in 1923, in New York, NY USA. This doll appears to be from the 1953-1965 vintage. |
