Description |
Kerosene or oil lantern. Marked "Paull's Leader; Large No. 2 Fount" on the top of the reservoir. Metal frame & handle; glass globe. Original number 171. The lantern was manufactured by the Wheeling Stamping company under the name "Paull's Leader". The Wheeling Stamping Company produced lanterns from 1897 until the lantern division of the company was sold to Dietz in 1946. The "Cold Blast" styled lantern is variously called a barn or railroad lantern. No patent or production dates on either the lantern or the globe. |
