Description |
Wood carving titled "Long May Their Freedom Ring" by Emanuel Albrecht. Five children painted white are suspended and swing around a center Maypole. A small girl in a red skirt sits near the pole below the swingers. The round wooden base has a brass title plate and is signed "Albrecht". Emanuel gave the carving to his nephew David Sprengeler in 2007. The donor did not know when it was carved. La Falda Roja (the red skirt) is a recurrent theme in Emanuel Albrecht's carvings. |
