Framed charcoal portrait of Johanna Caroline Schultz Fratzke, born in Zehrten, Pomerania, Germany on March 21, 1821. "Karoline" was a great-grandmother of donor Dorothy Fratzke Schwarze. Wood frame painted black; corner brass emblems; glass; hanging wire. Caroline Schultz married Johann Gottlieb Fratzke c.1839 in Germany. Johann and Caroline were parents of Julius Christopher Fratzke, father of Otto Fratzke. "Karoline" died February 2, 1913 and is buried in the Baptist Cemetery at St. Bonifacius. Julius Christopher Fratzke (February 12, 1856-March 30,1932) married Bertha Leddin (June 2, 1861-March 3, 1940) on December 1, 1882 in Germany. They were the parents of Otto Fratzke who was donor Dorothy Fratzke Schwarze's father. Otto was born February 28, 1900, married Verna Froemming on March 25, 1925, & died February 27, 1973. |
