Wood carving "Into the Sun" by Emanuel "Monnie" Albrecht, Hutchinson, MN. A male golfer stands shading his eyes from the sun and looking down the fairway for the golf ball he has hit. The ball lies on a green hidden beneath the golfer. The carving was given to Dr. Bob Prochnow by Emanuel in 1993 with a note that read "It's a great pleasure for me to know that this carving and several others have found a home with your fine family. Sincerely, Emanuel Albrecht 'Monnie'." Dr. Robert "Bob" Prochnow was a Hutchinson, MN dentist from 1954-2002. When Bob Prochnow was about 15 years old Emanuel taught him to play golf and it became his passion. Bob was 14 times club champion and a golfing buddy of Emanuel Albrecht for many years. |
