Figurines are flat on one side. 4 have been finished with hand drawn hair, eyes, uniform stripes and a shellac finish. Details on 6 have been started and 9 have not been worked on. The castings were found in the R. W. Dahl house, Hutchinson, MN and would have been created by R. W. Dahl after his serious heart attack in th late 1930s. His doctor (Dr. Jensen) ordered a change in diet and limited activity. Dick's son, Jim, delayed going to college in order to help his Dad carry on the insurance business. It was during this time that Dick started what became lifelong hobbies of carving and designing/making plaster of Paris molds. George Herman "Babe" Ruth Jr. was an American professional baseball player whose career in Major League Baseball spanned 22 seasons, from 1914 through 1935. At the time of his retirement, Ruth held many of baseball's most esteemed records, including the career records for home runs (714 — since broken), slugging percentage (0.690), runs batted in (2,213 — since broken), bases on balls (2,062 — since broken) and on-base plus slugging (1.164).
