Description |
Silver Lake Fire Department uniform long sleeved shirt and trousers. The navy blue dacron shirt has a red & white Silver Lake Fire Department patch on the left sleeve, an American flag patch on the right sleeve and shoulder epaulets. A silver colored badge is above the left pocket. The navy blue trousers are cuffed and have zipper closure. Uniform was worn by Delbert Merrill. Delbert Merrill was born March 9, 1907 in the upstairs rooms of the old bank building in Silver Lake MN where the Citizens State Bank later stood. He was the son of Wallace Oscar and Alice Emma Danek Merrill. On June 16, 1936 he married Florence Mikolichek. Delbert was a long time member of the Silver Lake Fire Department and was secretary of the Silver Lake Fire Department Relief Association. |
