Promotional novelty plate with greetings from Frank Kolar & son, Biscay, Minn. Has center picture of flowers, leaves & gooseberries(?); gilt trim borders around the rim. Back stamp: Semi-Porcelain, H. P. Co. with bow & arrow. The Harker Pottery Co., 1840-1972 was one of the longest producing potteries in the U.S. It was established in 1840 in East Liverpool, OH and moved to Chester, WV in 1931. It was sold to the Jeanette Glass Co. in 1969 and closed in 1972. |
