The Minnesota Territorial Pioneers is an organization of descendants of those who settled in Minnesota prior to Statehood (1858). The brainchild of W. H. Hoyt, MTP was organized on May 11, 1897, when 100 territorial pioneers gathered for that purpose at the Merchants Hotel in St. Paul. The organization promotes Minnesota history and sells various Minnesota made goods at the Minnesota State Fair. |
