Description |
Wedding dress of crepe with a "V" neckline, 5 covered buttons, matching edging to that of veil. Has white pearl beads sewn in the middle of flowers on the edging and also down the sleeve. Stiffener under skirt and under the train. Back zipper. Sleeve: 23"; Skirt 45" in front; Train 63". Veil of white netting with flower edging fastened to a cap with the same floral trim and 12" ribbon held in place by 3 roses and 5 white pearls. Cap has a comb on each side to hold it in place. The dress and matching veil were worn by Jane Birkholz Bach, sister of Donn Birkholz, and daughter of Carolyn and Bruce Birkholz., married Roy Bach October 19, 1974 at the Evangelical United Church of Christ, Lester Prairie. Museum has wedding photograph #2008-0165-001. Dress No. 4 of a five generation set of wedding dresses including 2007-0092--001, -002, -003, and -004, and 2008-0257-001. |
