Description |
Olive drab wool U. S. Army overcoat. Probably belonged to LeRoy Teschendorf who was killed as a prisoner of war in Austria on April 21, 1945, in WWII. The coat is very heavy and has "T2835" stamped on the lining. Label: Regulation Army Officer's Overcoat. Single gold bars (2nd lieutenant) are on the epaulets and a U. S. Army Air Force badge is on the left sleeve. Size 36L. LeRoy Teschendorf enlisted in the U. S. Air Corps in November, 1942. He graduated from Officers Training and Advanced Bombardker School on December 24, 1943. He was sent overseas on July 22, 1944 as a member of the 97th Bomb Group, 14th Bomb Squadron. |
