Two piece self heating family charcoal iron. Removable top and wooden handle with shield. Used ordinary charcoal as fuel and was easily regulated to any desired heat.The fire pot is in the bottom with an adjustable vent on the end. A spout and curved guard are on the top half. Held together by a removable pin. Priced at 87 cents in the 1908 Sears catalogue, which claimed that agents charged $2.00 to $3.00. Name "Walt Rippe" is written on one side. |
