Description |
Bentwood Shaker style flour screen/sieve/sifter. No. 18. Name inside: Hugh Burns, Oakfield, Wisconsin, 1890(?). Hugh A. Burns was born in Oakfield, Wis., September 30, 1848, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Steen Burns. Hugh came to McLeod County Minnesota in the fall of 1898, buying a farm in Collins township which he operated until 1904 when he moved into Hutchinson. He married Emma Pelton on September 15, 1855. They were the parents of Dr. Jay Hugh Burns, Herbert A. Burns, and Maude E. Burns. |
