Framed charcoal drawing portrait of a child identified as Eldon Vernon Duehn. Eldon was born April 3, 1918, son of Fred and Ida Klopfleisch Duehn. He died June 4, 1921 when he drowned in a stock tank on the Duehn farm on Hwy 212 east of Brownton in Sumter Township. A doctor was unable to restore him to life. He was survived by 3 brothers and 6 sisters, including Helen Duehn Albrecht, grandmother of the donor. Wood look plaster frame top with domed glass and a wood back; wire for hanging. Ric Kottke is the son of Arlene (Dottsie) and Louie Kottke, formerly of Sumter Township, and the grandson of John and Helen (Duehn) Albrecht of Glencoe formerly of Glencoe township. |
