Description |
Long white party apron trimmed with wide knit lace at the bottom. Short ties. Worn in the late 1800s by Anna Tmey Lauzer, mother of donor. Donor Abby Lauzer Andrews was the daughter of Simon and Anna Tmey Lauzer, who married in 1875 after coming to America with their separate families. They lived a year in Waverly and then in 1876 bought a farm four miles east of Hutchinson on the Bear Lake Road. There they raised a family of six children & remained until 1913 when they moved to Minneapolis. Simon Lauzer died in 1934 and Anna Tmey Lauzer in 1935. |
