Wedding dress, train, headpiece and veil worn by Sue Ellen Decker for her wedding to Kenneth Lee Dwyer on April 18, 1969 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Stewart, MN. A bridal portrait of Sue Decker Dwyer by Brinkman Studio is 2015-0174-001. Color photographs of the wedding are 2015-0174-008, -009, -010, -011, -012, -013, -014. Dress: ivory satin covered with organza, empire waist, floral net elbow length sleeves, floral net insert with mandarin collar at front and back neckline, button & zipper back closure separated by self-fabric bow; floral lace applique along bottom front of skirt. Train: ivory satin covered with organza, double row of floral lace extending from back waistline pleat to bottom of train and curving to both sides, waistline hooks, inside loops at top and bottom for hanging and carrying; 78" long. Headpiece: stiff high crown style covered with lace net, satin flower loops and seed pearls; two hair combs. Headpiece was made by bride's mother Delores Decker. Veil: two double layers of gathered white net. |
