Sepia toned World War I photograph taken at Badonviller, France on March 7, 1918. On the left is a U. S. Army Red Cross ambulance with military personnel sitting in the vehicle watching as civilians (possibly a woman, two men and two children) walk through the destroyed town. In the left corner a soldier appears to be searching buildings. A male civilian on the right stands alone staring at the destroyed buildings.
