Scanned January 19, 2005 McLeod County Chronicle photograph of a school bus driver and two student bus riders. Taken about 1946 and identified by Loren Mackenthun who is the boy on the left. The bus driver George Hueser was also a custodian at Glencoe High School. The girl on the right is Norma Mackenthun, sister to Loren. At the time the photo was taken the Mackenthuns were going to school at First Lutheran School, and the Glencoe Public School District buses transported them for a fee. |
