He was married to Jenelle Domeier for over 61 years. They were blessed with five children. Burt was a farmer and a sales representative for Form-A-Feed Company in Stewart, MN. He spent over 20 years volunteering and delivered Meals on Wheels. Burt passed away on January 25, 2013 at the age of 93 years old. He is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
