Black and white photograph of the fire remains of businesses located near 11 Main St. N., Hutchinson, MN. Barricades line the street in front of the destroyed buildings. Taken after the March 1951 fire that destroyed Niebler's Meat Market, Red Owl and Hartwig apron shop. The fire was mentioned in the April 1951 issue of "Fire Engineering". In 1946 Getzke Meat Market was located at 11 Main St. N, Hutchinson. H.A. Dobratz Sons furniture store was located to the immediate south of the burned buildings (photo right), with Bolduc Corner Bar south of the Dobratz store at the corner of Main & Washington Avenue, Hutchinson. |
