Black and white photograph of five men believed to be, as noted in accompanying letter [Image 3], members of the Hutchinson, MN Police Commission, thought to have been taken in the late 1940's or early 1950's. Standing are (l-r): Joe Drahos and Dr. Ross Sheppard, DDS. Seated are: Grant Dwinnell, Dr. A. J. Thompson, DVM, and Henry Kurth. The letter was sent with this photograph and another to Dr. George "Buzzy" Smith from Bruce Broderius of Greeley, CO in December 2001. The photo is mounted in a cardboard tri-fold frame stamped with the logo of Birkeland (Studio), Hutchinson, Minn. McLeod County Historical Society researched the photo and accompanying letter and concludes this photo appears to be the Hutchinson, MN Mayor and City Council of the 1935-36 time period when R. I. Sheppard was mayor, and the other men were council members. Identical photo is 2001-0285-005. |
