Black and white photograph of interior of the J. J. Brechet house in Glencoe, MN. Brechet built the house for his wife Jennie. It was completed in 1899. Through the years the house has been called the Glencoe Stone Castle or just the Glencoe Castle. It still stands on the corner of 13th Street and Ives Avenue in Glencoe. This photo was taken from the stairway toward living areas of the home. Note the ornate woodwork. A woman's portrait hangs on the wall. Mounted on green photoboard. |
