Description |
Glass plate negative of a wedding photograph of Albert Lehrke & Mable Lillian Anderson, married in June 1911 in Carver County. The groom is wearing a dark suit, striped light colored vest & white bow tie. He has a boutonniere. The bride has an ornate high-necked white dress with heavy pearl trim on the front and wrists and a unique wide crossed belt at the waist. The skirt has wide lace trim with pompoms and even her shoes are decorated. Her high poufy net headpiece is trimmed with artificial flowers. She is wearing gloves and her wedding ring is visible. She is holding a bouquet of roses. Both are seated on a large wooden chair, and the groom's feet are on a floor pillow. Taken in 1911 by Nelson Hassan, Photographer, Glencoe, MN. Negative #274. |
