Display board of three types of post office box fronts used at the Brownton Post Office. l) Type used in 1920s until 1958. 2) Type used in the 1930s until 1958. 3) Type used from 1958 until 1987 when it was replace with a key type box. Box fronts are inserted in a wood frame painted gold.

Document - Postmaster's Letter, 1922
Postmaster's letter transmitting war-savings certificates, series of 1918, belonging to Otto Schulze to the Federal Reserve Bank, for exchange or payment at maturity. Otto had two registration numbers with a total of 26 stamps. Receipt signed by F. J. Reimers, Postmaster, Stewart, Minn. Dated December 26, 1922. Otto Schulze was grandfather to donor Agnes Hoffman.

Scale, Postal - "Little Detective" Postal Scale
"Little Detective" postal scale with tin scoop. Chicago Scale Company. Beam shows postage in cents on any class mail, i.e. letters, merchandise, newspapers. It was advertised in the 1889 U.S. Official Postal Guide as the best office scale ever made with $3.00 price; $3.50 with tin scoop; $3.74 with brass scoop. Had 1.4 oz to 25 lbs capacity.
