Maroon Naugahyde chair. Purchased by Mae A. Jensen (1912-1999), mother of donor Julie Jensen, at H. A. Dobratz and Sons for her new home at 555 Main Street South, Hutchinson built in 1950. Julie had asthma as a child and her mother chose Naugahyde because it could be wiped off and didn't collect house dust. Matching davenport is 2011-0204-002.

Fainting couch; walnut with champagne brocade upholstery. Donor's notes: "Much to my mother's disdain, my dad (Axel M. Jensen, 1912-1981) brought home the couch frame, then took it to Mildred Rasmussen, mother of Muriel Dobratz of Hutchinson and a long time Hutchinson upholsterer. No person ever fainted on this couch; it merely took up lots of space for 40 years."

Scanned copy of the U. S. Army discharge papers for Lyder Jensen, Technician Fourth Grade, Battery 'D" 639th Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion, dated January 6, 1946. He was inducted August 10, 1942. He was an Army cook and served in the Ardennes Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland, and Central Europe. Lyder was the father of donor Pete Jensen.
