    1898 Map of South Silver Lake, Rich Valley Township, McLeod County. The town of South Silver Lake was located along the Great Northern Railway tracks south of Silver Lake. The town disappeared after the new Luce Line Railroad went through the town of Silver Lake instead of South Silver Lake.

    Black and white photographic postcard & negative #21 of Winsted Public School (second building), completed in 1887. Addressed to Miss Mabel Moores, 2639 Girard Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN. Message from A.A.V. tells addressee he/she will be taking the train (Hutchinson branch of Great Northern) to the city on Friday morning and requesting Miss Moores meet the train at 9 o'clock. Postcard is not stamped or postmarked.

  12. Print, Photographic - Busch-Sulzer generator, Hutchinson Utilities, 1940s

    Black & white photograph a new Busch-Sulzer diesel engine on a Great Northern flatcar behind the Hutchinson Municipal Electric Plant (Hutchinson Utilities) located at the corner of Highways 7, 22, and 15 on north Main Street, Hutchinson. The first Busch-Sulzer engine was purchased in 1940 and a second in 1947. An unidentified man is standing with the engine.
