Newspaper strip has been put inside hat band to make hat smaller. Hat belonged to Jay Gould, Sr. (Jay Gould Million Dollar Circus) of Glencoe. In original oval black "Hats of Quality" box marked style 102, color bronze suede, and name Jay Gould. Several sizes are marked.
