Black & white picture postcard of American Red Cross Canteen workers outside a train car. Sent by Walter Nemitz, son of G. F. Nemitz of Nemitz Sons Paint Factory, Hutchinson, to his sister Adela Nemitz while he was in the Army National Guard during World War I. Dated October 29, 1918. Message about fine weather, feeling better and train travel. Postmarked St. Louis MO, October 29, 1918. Two cents stamp. Walter was in a machine gun company and was discharged in 1919. |
