Sepia toned photographic postcard of a Lake Marion Ball Team of nine members and a coach. The team was made up of players from around the lake and players from Brownton, MN. Members are identified (l to r) Back: Jim Mullin, Ferdinand "Fred" Karstens, Fred Seeland, Leslie "Les" Karstens, Edward "Barney" Tadsen. Front: Leo Valker, Otto Seeland, Christ Knudson, Henry Seeland, Bill Peik. Christ is holding a pennant with Lake Marion and a fisherman. He also has catchers gear in front of him. Identical to 2005-0179-001 which is dated 1912. [In 2010 Clint Knudson, son of Gust Knudson, verified that Christ Knudson, center front, was the only Knudson brother on this photograph.] Others who played were Lewis Baker, Bill and Andy Lundberg, Harry and Gust Knutson (Knudson), Bill Pieton and Gene Pieton. |
