Sepia toned photographic postcard of two unidentified men (one seated on dray and one standing) posing with a 2 horse-drawn dray sled loaded with cargo of wooden crates. Cargo may have been shipped by rail and loaded onto the sled. Postmarked April 5, 1912, Addressed to Mrs. Wm. Hill, 108 W 38th St, Minneapolis, Minn. Photo is on Main Street, Hutchinson, MN in front of the J.T. Fallon General Merchandising and Dry Goods store, identified by the printing on the awning, window and post sign. The store on the right is the City Shoe Shop purchased by Henry G. Felepe in 1904 and located at 24 Main Street North. Shoe Repairing is printed on the awning. Mr. Felepe was the first to install "modern shoe machinery" in the city. |
