Black and white photographic postcard showing the east side of Pollack Ave, Brownton, MN with horses and wagons. The brick building on the corner housed Albert Zebell's bowling alley and saloon from 1904-1906. There is a Hamm's beer sign on the building. The message on the reverse is addressed to Ella ____, Nicollet Island, Minneapolis and mentions a trip to the circus in Hutchinson, grape picking and a trip to the lake in Mr. Knick's auto. The card was not postmarked. Credited to D. W. Bolles. May have belonged to Lilly Schwarzrock whose name is written in ink on the reverse. |
