AFS Friendship Grove park |
Scope & Content |
Poster of photographs and information about the AFS Friendship Grove park in Hutchinson, MN. Beginning in 1983 trees were planted in honor of AFS students who lived in Hutchinson and in memory of two deceased Hutchinson AFS fathers. AFS students from 1956 -1995 are listed with type of tree and names of their AFS parents. Trees were first planted at Fred Roberts Park; conditions were too wet so trees were moved east of the School Road bridge along the Crow River. The AFS chapter & its members have donated funds for walking paths, bridges, benches, picnic table/shelter, trees, shrubs, flowers, signs, markers. |
