The front of this card is the same as 1985-1138-013. Sepia toned photographic postcard of a tall building with "Phoenix Lumber Co. Dealers in Builders Materials" on the front. Next to the building is the yard which has a wooden gate which rolls left and right to open and close. A man and small child are standing in the open gate. A second man is standing in the yard. Two large lumber piles are seen. The building has a door into it and a second door next to it which could be an entry to the lumberyard. A written label at the bottom says "At Forbes, N.D." The postcard is addressed to Mr. Henry Fritze, R #5, Hutchinson, Minn. from his brother Herbert. Message: Mr. Henry Fritze. Dear Bro. He asks if Henry has purchased any small pigs yet. If he hasn't, he could get three over here. They will be old enough in about two weeks. He tells him to be sure and let him know if he wants them. He asks how Clara is and hopes she is good. Postmark: Litchfield, Minn. June 24, 1915. No stamp is attached. |
