Scope & Content World War I color poster with the Roster for Battery "C", 151st Field Artillery. c.1917. List includes men from McLeod County. Artwork by Dan Smith, whose signature is at the middle right side. Picture has patriotic elements of eagle, shield, flag, Lady Liberty, Army insignia, flags of Allies. Poster was removed from frame.
Printed by Illustrated Postal Card & Nov. Co. NY. [The same illustration is on a poster called "In the Service of the Nation" which has lines to fill in by a recruiter & has Woodrow Wilson's message to Congress from Dec 4, 1917.] Identical posters: 2013-0047-001 and 2001-0098-001.
