Sepia toned, scanned photo postcard of the Main Street Looking South, Biscay, Minn. Addressed to H. P. Sanken, Glencoe from Herman. Message about bringing a load of hay. Postmarked April 11, 1916, Biscay, Minnesota. One cent stamp.
Buildings identified on the photo are 1) Bank, 2) Peterson's Store & 3) Krueger Hardware.
The State Bank of Biscay incorporated in 1909 was first housed in the old Danek Hotel, then in the Town Hall. Following a 1915 fire at the Kuester Mercantile Company, the State Bank of Biscay and Kuester Mercantile jointly erected a brick building on the corner lot.
