Caption Frank Mrkvicka biography
Scope & Content Photocopy of a 1980 [VFW] magazine article "We Salute Frank Mrkvicka" giving Frank Mrkricka's life history and service in WWI. Includes photographs of Frank in uniform and with his wife and family. Frank Mrkvicka was born March 10, 1895, son of John and Frances Mrkvicka. On June 24, 1918 he entered the Army and was sent to France. He was discharged in July, 1919. On November 4, 1922 he married Mary Kucera. Frank was a farmer, treasurer of the school board for 32 years, one of the founders of the Hutchinson Cenex Co-op, and the 1952-1953 VFW Commander.
